Kate Griffiths, Member of Parliament for Burton and Uttoxeter, was delighted to plant a tree to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s upcoming Platinum Jubilee.

Kate Griffiths was pleased to join with other Staffordshire MPs in this initiative. This means that all twelve Staffordshire constituencies will have a tree planted by their MP in honour of the Queen.

Kate planted the tree in her constituency at The Mosley Academy in Anslow with the support of the School’s Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister.

The trees will form part of The Queen’s Green Canopy which is a unique initiative to increase the number of trees and woodland throughout the UK.

Commenting, Kate Griffiths MP said:

“I am delighted to plant a tree at The Mosley Academy in Anslow to mark the Queen’s historic Platinum Jubilee. I am very gratefully to the School Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister for ably assisting me in planting this wonderful new tree.”

“This tree, along with those also planted by my fellow Staffordshire MP colleagues, will form part of The Queen’s Green Canopy to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.”
